Shaninomi Eribo MSc – Founder/CEO

As the Founder/CEO of GreenSquareMetre, Shani brings to bear the unique combination of a background in residential and hospitality property development, a passion for sustainability, and successful experiences undertaking individual, corporate, and institutional fundraising across both advanced and emerging markets.

Between both roles as Project Manager and Manager Strategy & Planning at IPDC Limited & Hometel Lifestyle Properties Ltd respectively, Shani managed the delivery of a portfolio of high-end residential and hospitality projects worth over US$50M along the Ikoyi-Lekki-Eleko axis of Lagos state between 2007 and 2011.

During his time at Hometel Lifestyle Properties, Shani was also very deeply involved in the capital raising process, working directly with the MD of the company to develop project finance proposals that were successful in raising over $3M in residential project financing from local traditional (mortgage/commercial banks) lenders between 2008 and 2011.

Between 2011 and 2017, he held several fundraising roles covering, individuals, corporate, HNI’s and institutional fundraising for the likes of HomeFundraising UK, ActionAid and the Nigerian Economic Summit Group (NESG). It was during his time working closely with the head of the sustainability policy commission on low carbon growth initiatives over 2016 to 2017 at the NESG, that the idea for GreenSquareMetre began to crystalize.

Shani holds a BSc(Hons) degree in Estate Management from the Obafemi Awolowo University ile-ife, and an MSc in Corporate Communications & Public Affairs (Merit) from the Aberdeen Business School. He also holds a PRINCE2 Foundation certificate in Project Management and is currently Nigeria’s leading EDGE Green Building Expert.

Eka Okoro – Director, External Relations

Until recently, Eka was Manager, External Affairs and Strategic Partnerships at All On (a Shell subsidiary) where she was responsible for opening and managing new frontiers of beneficial external relationships through strategic partnerships with government, co-investors, development agencies, sector experts and other key players in renewable energy. She was also responsible for developing and implementing external communications, managing market intelligence, managing and advocating critical policy issues, and effectively positioning All On’s brand to create a positive image for the organization and help deliver its strategy.

Eka has been a panellist speaking on financing for renewable energy projects at several high profile events including ‘The Solar Future Nigeria’ organized by Solar Plaza and the ‘Nigeria Energy Forum’, both in 2017.

Prior to joining All On, she was a Program Fellow at Shell handling functions across Corporate Stakeholder Relations and Sustainable Development Strategy and Planning in Nigeria and the USA. From 2007-2011, Eka worked in the US, supporting international development organizations in the delivery of socio-economic projects to underserved areas across Western and Northern Africa. In 2013, she was appointed the CEO of Oil and Gas Industry Foundation, a position she has held since. Between 2014 and 2015, Eka worked with others in the UK to design All On. She is currently the Chairman/ CEO of TopNotch Integrated Farms where she is deploying solar energy solutions to enhance business performance.

She holds a BA degree from the University of Calabar, an MBA from the University of Maryland University College, a Master’s Certificate in Supply Change Management from the University of San Francisco, and attended the Executive Development Programme for Sustainable & Inclusive Business at the World Bank Institute in 2008. And for her pioneering role in the Niger Delta conflict resolution, she is a proud recipient of the prestigious Coretta Scott King Award from the University of Rhode Island’s Institute for Nonviolence Studies, USA.

Misan Eribo – Co-Founder/Independent Director; Business Development

Misan began his professional career as a Sales and Relationship Management officer in the Abuja Regional office of Stanbic IBTC Asset Management Ltd a subsidiary of Stanbic IBTC Holdings (a member of Standard Bank), where he honed his Investment Advisory capabilities converting and managing myriad new and existing clients using product offerings including mutual funds, portfolio and stockbroking accounts

Currently, he is the pioneer Regional Manager for Abuja/North of CardinalStone Partners Ltd. From 2015 to date, he has been responsible for driving the Investment Advisory and Capital Raising (Debt & Equity) business via selling equities & fixed income offerings to High Networth Individuals (HNIs) and Institutional clients as well as overseeing the administrative activities of the business in the region. Over this period he has raised approximately $27,000,000.00 in a combination of assets under management, secuties, trades and debt capital

Prior to joining Cardinal Stone, he served as a High Networth Individual (Private) Banking officer within the Public Sector Group and also as Team Lead for Small Business Banking in various branches of Skye Bank Plc (now Polaris Bank), where he was responsible for growing and managing accounts of high-profile Individuals and Corporates.

Misan holds a Bsc. in Estate Management from Obafemi Awolowo University Ile-Ife Osun State, Nigeria, and is currently undertaking an Executive MBA at IE Business School in Madrid, Spain. He is also an Associate of the Nigerian Institution of Estate Surveyors and Valuers.

Sotonye Bristol MSc – Director of Communications

Tonye, is responsible for managing both client/public engagement and relations at GreenSquareMetre.

She has previously worked as the Group Head of Business Development at the Clover Group, and before that, was the Corporate Social Responsibility Programme Officer at Total E & P where she was responsible for the yearly design and implementation of the company’s Corporate Social Responsibility initiatives/programmes, as well as managing Total’s image and brand through stakeholder engagement, dialogue and new media forms.

Prior to joining Total E & P, she was an Associate, Channels Management at the Federal Inland Revenue service of Nigeria where she assisted in evaluating and proposing and implementing strategies for FIRS to adequately manage its corporate image.

Tonye holds a first degree in Communications and Media Studies and a Master’s in Marketing and Management both from Loughborough University, United Kingdom.

 

 Weyinmi Eribo – Director of Quality, Health, Safety & Environment (QHSE)

Weyinmi is responsible for HSE and Quality assurance on all GreenSquareMetre projects. This includes ensuring the GreenSquareMetre offices and work sites meet the EU minimum standards on quality and HSE as well as ensuring suppliers of renewable energy, energy efficiency and other associated products and services also comply with minimum European Union standards.

Weyinmi has had a varied experiences in the oil and gas sector beginning her career as an intern geologist at the Nigeria/Sao Tome and Principe Joint Development Authority in 2010 and was subsequently retained as a contract Geologist in 2012 where her responsibilities included managing data and monitoring geological studies in line with JDA requirements, and ensuring compliance with contract agreements achieving over 95% compliance rates.

From 2015 to May 2018, she operated in the capacity of Geologist II/HSE officer at Nigeria/Sao Tome and Principe JDA where her responsibilities included reviewing and updating JDA petroleum regulations and environmental guidelines and providing regular field reports, as well as monitoring work program budgets and reviews for all JDA oil blocks.

She holds a first degree in Geology from the Delta State University as well as several professional certifications including Quality Management Systems OSHAS 9001:2015 (IRCA), HSE Level 2 and 3; CIEH Certification, International Minimum Industry Safety Training(IMIST) and Health, Safety and Environment Level 3(ISPON). She has a passion for sustainability and entrepreneurship.
