GreenSquareMetre (Global Investments Ltd.) is a social enterprise that assists small and medium sized property and renewable energy project developers who are unable to access finance from traditional lenders, in securing alternative financing for their green projects. This is line with with our core environmental goals of reducing GHG emissions; reducing energy/resource consumption in buildings; and mainstreaming the practice of Green Building in Nigeria/Sub-Saharan Africa, with a view to mitigating the harsh effects of climate change in the region.
We leverage the combination of our core teams’ and advisory boards’ expertise and networks within the international renewable energy/climate investments landscape; years of professional experience in property development, fundraising, finance, traditional/investment banking and asset management; and our knowledge of, and strong networks within the local property market(s) to engage and advise indigenous property developers and owners across residential, hospitality, office, retail, medical and education property asset classes on the opportunities and benefits of building green.
In so doing, GreenSquareMetre seeks to firmly usher in a green building revolution in Nigeria/Sub-Saharan Africa, as its contribution towards mitigating the harsh effects of climate change which countries within the region are particularly vulnerable to.
